I sent this message to Republican Congressman Mark Amodei. Use it as a starting point, but get a message to your Representatives!!!
“I don’t know you, and I hope you are not a coward. A coward would stand by and do nothing while the Trump administration wreaks havoc on our economy, our closest allies, and our global economic partnerships. Please do not be a coward—stand up for the American people who do not want this administration destroying not only our economy but the global economy as well. It is time for you to prove that you have Nevada’s best interests in mind and to fight against the wannabe dictator who has been elevated to power in this country.
Donald Trump must be removed from office as soon as possible, and his sad and pathetic administration must be dissolved.
As a Nevada resident raising my daughters here, I have been taught that Battle Born Strong is more than just a catchphrase. I want to see Nevada fight this corruption, fight for the values of the United States, and fight for its citizens.
What the Trump administration is doing will lead to economic collapse and, potentially, a war in which more American lives will be lost. This is unacceptable.
What will continue to drive our nation down this dangerous path is a group of elected officials who wallow in cowardice and fail to stand up to tyranny.
As I said, I don’t know you, and I didn’t vote for you—but I hope you are not a coward. I hope you will fight for what is right. What the Trump administration is doing is not right; it is un-American and will bring nothing but hardship and pain to our citizens.
I know these are harsh words, but these are harsh times. Please, prove you are not a coward.”
We have a voice if we choose to use it! Do not let corruption and injustice become normalized!!!!
